Stach’s mother commits suicide. Stacho gets a compassionate pass for two days. He goes home where he meets his father, who he hasn’t seen for a long time. JERZY KOWYNIA
DIRECTOR ABOUT THE FILM
"The inspiration for this film comes from one of the plays by Sam Shepard, who I especially admire as a playwright. Some of the assumptions may have been a bit different, but the actual process of making the film convinced me that filmmaking is a collective effort. In such a complex endeavour you have to be perfectly prepared, at 100%, and we were only about at 95%. However, maybe it was worth losing that 5% in order to add some spontaneous inspiration or just mere chance.
KATARZYNA JANICKA
PRODUCER ABOUT THE FILM
It is 100% auteur cinema, an independent production. As usual in such ventures, a lot is done for the sake of the proverbial thank you, but this did not exempt us from the requirements of professionalism and did not allow us to make allowances for any element of the production. If something is wrong, there is no easy excuse for it. Wrong is wrong, no matter how independent the production is.
